Called to be Missionary Disciples

As Christians, we have the responsibility to be servants by sharing our gifts. God has given each of us a unique set of talents. When we share these with others, we enrich them, ourselves, and God’s Kingdom on Earth.

In the 12th Chapter of his First Letter to the Corinthians, St. Paul compares the Church to a body, with Christ as its head. He points out that no single part of the body is more important than another, and no part of the body can survive without the others. In the same way, our particular talents are equally valuable to the Parish.

There are over 33 ministries or skills listed in the Ministry Guide that are needed in the Parish. We invite you to consider joining one. When you share your gifts with the Parish, you strengthen the community and yourself. In helping to meet the needs of others, you can expect to develop many new friendships and have your needs fulfilled. This is the nature of a true community, and when others see our Christian Community working, they are more likely to want to follow Christ, who inspires such a loving community.
