Parish Renewal
We have begun the second year of our Pastoral Renewal journey. On this occasion, Bishop McGrattan encourages us with these words: “No matter who you are, where you are, or what you have experienced… cast your nets into the deep, and believe in the work that the Lord is entrusting to us in the renewal of our parishes and the Diocese.”
Parish Renewal Update

Last June, as part of the Diocesan Renewal, parishioners were invited to complete a survey about their faith and experiences at Ascension Catholic Parish. This weekend the Parish Renewal Team is sharing the summarized results with you.

The results are based on the five areas of Parish Life that formed the structure of the survey: Word, Worship, Community, Service, Leadership/Stewardship
Our next step is to meet with the ministry leaders to pray, discern, and receive their input to develop a parish renewal plan. This process will take place over the next few months, and the final plan will be submitted to the diocese mid-June. This plan will serve as a guide to further support our faith life centered on the three pillars as Missionary Disciples, Being a Church of Encounter, and Strengthening Family Life.

Parish Renewal Team
The newly formed Pastoral Renewal Team at Ascension Catholic Parish, is a response to Bishop McGrattan's call to a multi year program of renewal in the diocese of Calgary. Our team will be collaborating with the pastor, parish council, and various ministries in the parish, in inviting all members of Ascension to embody our parish mission statement to be "missionary disciples".
