Pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rockies – August 21.
As part of the Jubilee 2025 celebration, Catholics are invited to embark on a pilgrimage of hope—a journey of prayer, reflection, and renewal. While many may feel called to make a pilgrimage to Rome and pass through the Holy Door at one of the four major basilicas, you are also encouraged to explore sacred destinations closer to home.
Join us on Thursday, August 21, for a Parish Pilgrimage to the Shrine Church of Our Lady of the Rockies in Canmore!
All parishioners are invited to take part in this special day of prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal at the foot of the Rockies.
The cost per person is:

With Transport: $75

Without Transport:

Adults: $40

Children (ages 4–12): $20

Children under 4: Free
For those choosing the “With Transport” option, we will meet in the Ascension Catholic Parish parking lot at 8:00 am, with the bus departing at 8:30 am sharp. If you are arranging your own transportation, you are welcome to meet the group directly at the Shrine at 10:00 am.
The day will include:

Confessions upon arrival

Holy Mass at the Shrine

Eucharistic Adoration

A Mission Talk

Divine Mercy prayers to conclude the day

Lunch and drinks will be provided for all registered pilgrims
There will also be time for a short prayer walk or hike nearby. You can also choose to spend time in quiet personal prayer inside the sanctuary, or join in group prayer and reflection in the Shrine Hall.
Please come prepared with:

A heart ready for prayer and encounter with the Lord!
This pilgrimage is a beautiful opportunity to grow in faith, deepen your devotion to Our Lady, and unite with our diocesan family during this Jubilee week at the Shrine.
During the Ordinary Jubilee of 2025, all the faithful will be able to obtain from the treasury of the Church a plenary indulgence, with remission and forgiveness of all their sins.
