"What is the 'Multiply the Hope' Campaign?"

Multiply the Hope is a Jubilee matching initiative by the Diocese of Calgary that invests up to $12 million in local parish renewal.

Even after the Jubilee Year concludes on December 28, 2025, this matching opportunity will continue through 2027, giving us additional time to reach our goal.

During this three-year period, every dollar contributed to a parish’s Building Fund or Repairs & Maintenance Fund is matched by the Diocese, up to each parish’s designated goal.

The Challenges We Face

Today, many of our parishes carry the weight of debt from construction and renovation projects. Others face ongoing challenges maintaining aging buildings that serve as homes of faith and community.

These financial burdens prevent Renewal from flourishing. Resources that should go toward ministry, outreach, and welcoming others home are instead directed to debt reduction or deferred building maintenance.

A Historical Matching Opportunity

The Diocese has committed up to $12 million in matching funds to support local parishes across Southern Alberta.

For every dollar raised by a parish to pay down its loan or to start or increase its Repairs and Maintenance Fund, the Diocese will contribute an equal dollar, up to each parish' s eligible target goal. Once your parish reaches its goal, every gift continues to strengthen your parish home for the future.

This is more than financial assistance. This is your Diocese investing in your parish home. No hidden agenda. Simply a bold act of love and support to help support the Renewal that takes place in every parish. This is the first-ever Diocese-wide matching campaign for local parish renewal.

Within every Catholic community is the parish - the home where renewal takes root and where lives are powerfully transformed.

In my relationship with God and with Jesus, we talk, we chat, we share struggles. I don't walk the path alone. I want other people to experience that. " ~ A Canmore parishioner

What this Means for our Parish

Your gifts will be matched dollar-for-dollar, thanks to the Diocese ' s commitment to support every contribution up to each parish' s designated target goal.

Parishes will be freed to focus on their mission, welcoming those the Holy Spirit is calling home, strengthening family life, and being a church of encounter and witness. The Diocese is investing in the mission Christ entrusted to each parish community.

Repairs and maintenance funds will grow, ensuring that parish facilities remain safe, welcoming, and sustainable for years to come.

Loans will be paid down more quickly, freeing parishes to invest in pastoral initiatives and ministries that proclaim the Gospel and help people grow in their faith.
