Monthly retreat

Gather, pray, and grow in faith on the last Wednesday of every month.

The Monthly Parish Retreat at Ascension Catholic Parish is an opportunity for parishioners to step away from the busyness of the week and spend intentional time with the Lord. Each month, we meet after the 6 pm Mass for a guided reflection featuring a video presentation by Fr. John Bartunek. These sessions offer a simple and meaningful way to deepen your prayer life and reflect on important themes of the liturgical year.

Celebrate the Centennial of Christ the King!

Join the Church Family as we mark 100 years of honouring Christ our King. Since the establishment of the feast in 1925, we have been invited to recognize His sovereign reign not only in our hearts, but in our families, community and mission. Let us come together in worship, adoration, and joyful renewal of our commitment to Christ the King—our Lord, our King, our inspiration. Be part of this historic milestone: celebrate, reflect, recommit, and rejoice in the reign of Jesus Christ.

What to Expect

  • Retreat begins shortly after the 6 pm Mass

  • A short introduction followed by the video reflection from Fr. Bartunek

  • Time for quiet prayer and personal reflection

  • A peaceful, welcoming atmosphere open to all parishioners

Why a Monthly Retreat?

These evenings are designed to give our community a gentle, consistent way to reconnect with Christ, grow spiritually, and enter more deeply into the rhythm of the Church’s seasons.
