The Monthly Eucharistic Retreat at Ascension Catholic Parish invites parishioners on a year-long journey of prayer and spiritual renewal through the theme “Living the Mystery of the Ascension.” Following the rhythm of the liturgical year, each retreat explores the mysteries of our Catholic faith through the lens of Christ’s Ascension, offering opportunities for Eucharistic prayer, quiet reflection, and a deeper understanding of our relationship with Christ and our calling as His disciples.

An Evening of Prayer

  • 6:00–6:30 PM: Holy Mass

  • 6:30–6:35 PM: Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament

  • 6:35–6:40 PM: Quiet Prayer in the Presence of the Lord

  • 6:40–7:00 PM: Spiritual Reflection

  • 7:00–7:25 PM: Silent Prayer before the Blessed Sacrament

  • 7:25–7:30 PM: Benediction and Conclusion

What Is the Monthly Eucharistic Retreat?

Living the Mystery of the Ascension is a year-long journey of prayer and spiritual reflection at Ascension Catholic Parish. Following the rhythm of the liturgical year, each monthly retreat explores the great mysteries of our Catholic faith through the lens of Christ's Ascension, helping us discover their meaning in our lives today.

Why Are We Offering This Retreat?

Our parish bears the name of one of the great mysteries of our faith: the Ascension of the Lord. But what does this mystery mean for us today? Through these retreats, we hope to deepen our understanding of our parish's namesake and discover how Christ's Ascension reveals our hope of heaven, our identity as His Church, and our mission to continue His work in the world. Rather than a series of separate retreats, each gathering becomes part of one meaningful journey through the liturgical year, culminating in our contemplation of the Ascension of the Lord in May.

 

When and Where Does It Take Place?

The retreats take place monthly at Ascension Catholic Parish, shortly after the 6pm Mass.

Beginning in October and continuing through May, each gathering follows the themes and mysteries of the liturgical year.

 

Who Can Attend?

Everyone is welcome! Whether you are seeking to deepen your faith, rediscover your prayer life, or simply spend quiet time with the Lord, these retreats are open to all. While we encourage parishioners to journey with us throughout the year, each retreat can also be attended individually.

No registration is required. Simply come and join us!

 

How Will This Retreat Help Me Grow in Faith?

By taking time each month to pray and contemplate the mysteries of Christ's life, we begin to recognize His presence and work more clearly in our own lives. These retreats invite us to move beyond simply learning about our faith and allow what we contemplate to shape how we live. Through prayer and reflection, we can strengthen our relationship with Christ, deepen our hope in His promises, and grow in our calling to be His witnesses in everyday life.
